My Own Experience with Making Websites
I remember several years ago, when I was making my first website, I wanted to believe that it was easy. For someone like myself, a person who has always had an interest in making websites and computers in general, I was at an obvious advantage.
Still, looking back at my experience building my own websites, I can see that, if I learned about certain things first, if I knew things I didn’t know, it would have definitely made my learning process quicker. It is with this perspective that I decided to make Website Homework. To let other people know what I learned about making websites over the years.
I wish I knew some of the most important things about making websites sooner, some of which even help me make more money online to this day. Making money with a website is the subject of my other article on this site, and deserves special attention. But I wouldn’t recommend jumping there just yet. First we need to learn about what goes into a good website before we can attempt to infest it with ads or links to affiliate program.
Making money with your website should never be the primary purpose of starting a new site. This will affect your productivity and especially the overall quality of your website including its content. And when the content of your website is compromised, so is its popularity and long-term success. The primary purpose for building a website can be providing visitors with things they wish to learn more about.
I still continue learning new things about making websites to this day. There is just so much to learn, and new technologies and web-based languages seem to evolve every year.
I found many online resources about making websites to be brief and difficult to navigate. Since I love writing content for the Internet and making websites (as can be witnessed by numerous websites I started) I decided that it’s time to share my knowledge with everyone who wishes to learn how to make websites.
This web page and this entire site contains numerous tips, suggestions and advice for not only step-by-step instructions of how to build your own website, but also for specific things you should think about and even avoid. I hope that by the end of reading much of the content published on Website Homework, you will be marginally enlightened as to what actually goes on into making a website, how to make one, and how to make money with one.
