Do you have a Fixed Mindset or Growth Mindset?
Dr. Dweck is a Stanford psychology professor. In the free Dr. Dweck's interview (mp4 format) recording with Dr. Moira Gunn (hosted by itconversations.com, a great free business-related spoken interview resource), she talks about a way of thinking about productivity and efficiency. According to the mp4 file I listened to, Carol Dweck was introduced as the recognized World leader in the study of personality. In this short presentation that is just one minute over half an hour long, Dr. Dweck explains the two types of mindsets: Fixed Mindset and Growth Mindset. According to Carol, to find out what type of mindset you have, I created a quick Javascript-based poll that answers the same question from the talk radio broadcast. It was interesting to see how people would answer these questions and to collect a historic data chart, and see whether this information can give a general insight into how people think of themselves.Do you Agree or Disagree with the following statement?
Your intelligence is something very basic about yourself that you can't change. You can learn new things but you can't change how smart you are.
